In Wolverhampton and many other cities and towns in the UK, bonfire night is celebrated on November 5th. This holiday commemorated the failed Gunpowder Plot of 1605, when a group of Catholics attempted to assassinate King James I by blowing up the Houses of Parliament with gunpowder.
In Wolverhampton, numerous events and displays are happening throughout the city to celebrate bonfire night. However, if you prefer to stay at home, it is important to remember safety precautions when setting off your fireworks. This includes keeping a safe distance from the firework, never lighting more than one firework at a time, and ensuring that all children are supervised. Whatever your plans are for bonfire night, have a happy and safe celebration!
